TJ Coilover COnversion

Anyone have experience with these items?

http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/home.php?cat=312

Also...I am guessing this may not lift the Jeep, but rather increases articulatin only? If a lift does occur, does it depend on the legth coilover shock you install?

Any info is appreciated.

the lift depends on the tuning of the coilover. You can tune it to sit at near stock height (so only a few inches of shaft is showing) but will droop quite a bit, or you can do a 50/50 split, or more. Coilovers are very tunable, and you can get as much or as little lift out of just about any size coilover. To just say, "you will get X" of lift from a 12" coilover", would be wrong because you can tune them to what ever you'd like.

Thanks Super....that's a lot of help.

I don't know of anyone running this, but is definitely a thought I have thrown into the ring when purchasing my lift (by Spring 07).

I'm running Fox Coilovers in the front and I used some of the Poly Performance brackets. In a few months I am also converting the rear to Fox Coilovers. Let me know if you have any questions at all.

benefits of coilovers

Can someone explain if there are any benefits in doing a coilover conversion without doing a long arm suspension?

TIA

I am in the process of running the coilovers in my jeep with the stock control arms. I have had the fronts put in but the rears are coming in the next week or so.

Some benefits are:
Set ride height by adjusting collar on top of the springs
Springs are always straight and never bow
Springs will never fall out or unseat
King offers an external compression adjustment ( $80 each ) but you take them apart and adjust it. Just have to get it refilled with nitrogen or whatever gas is in them
Can also adjust rebound as well
You can always have them rebuilt instead of replacing them

A few cons
price
You can't really mount them in the existing shock locations... outboarding requires cutting on the frame and a tight squeeze between the tires and frame. My solution was this...
