Tire pressure for 31-10.5-15

What would be the best tire pressure for that size tires.

Would it depend on Rim size, i.e. 15x7, 15x8?

On a 15 x 8 rim, I would run about 30 psi street and 15 psi off road. For a 15 x 7, I would drop the street pressure a little.

If you do some searching you can find a link to the chalk test, which is really the best way to set you psi.

I run my 31/10.5 on 15x8 at 26-28 psi. Ride great. You take the weight of your TJ and divide the weight equally in pressure on all 4 tires.

ex: TJ weighs 4000, that's 1000 per tire. Your tire at 50 psi will sustain 2000 pounds of weight(max) Since your tires are only holding 1000, you half the inflation maximum. 25psi. plus change for a little extra. By plus change I mean 2 pounds.

This is a general equation but fairly accurate. Jerry B. has a better explanation that I do, but it is pretty similar.
