Tire carrier experience

Does anyone have any experience running this tire carrier? I have a 35" spare Id like to slap on one of these instead up spending big bucks for the swingout. It says it can handle a 35" tire put can our tailgates handle that?

yup link no workie.

if you replace the stock bracket with a bigger, heavier bracket, how are you fixing the fatigue problem on the factory hinges?

Stock carrier works fine for a 35" tire if you get the weight off the tailgate and onto the bumper.
