Not 100% sure but it will most likely be very similar to the threaded adapter that Clayton has welded on his arms unless I find something I think that will work better

The reason I went thicker with the arms is because it is stronger, I got a great deal on the materials, and that is a standard size for schedule 80.

Okay...got back to working on the Jeep...removed the gas tank and stripped out everything so I could cut the frame and move the axle back.

Love the clearance without the gas tank

Should have the frame cut early in the week and the crossmember for the 4-link welded in by the weekend.

Today I pulled the drivetrain, cut off all the brackets from the axle and generally cleaned it up. I also finally cut the rear frame off and welded a support to keep the remaining frame from moving around at all.

Unfortunetly I forgot my camera today and hopefully I will get back to the shop by the end of the week.

Originally I was planning on making the rear frame out of square stock but now I am leaning towards using one long piece of tube and just bending it. Then I will tie it into my cage and into a tire carrier.

More to Come...but bed for now.

The Willy's is my wife's project (Santa got her a new Sawzall for Christmas to help out ) and the body parts are all in the basement being sanded and prepped while the frame is getting ready to be Por15'd

I think that one won't go back on track until later this summer/fall

I am back on track with the TJ...But since I am a bit tired from being oversees for the past two weeks, I only did a little work.

Pulled the Steering wheel out as well as the Steering column, shafts, box, and any remaining parts of the steering system.

Now that I have all of this out of the way, I can start mocking up the steering arms to connect to the Ram to make sure they are straight at full turn. I can also start bending some tube to mount the ram off the axle.

I have some pictures but I won't post them until tommorrow.

I completely forgot about how many electircal connections I have to change from the steering column...starter, lights, horn, turn signals, etc.

I think for the meantime I am going to get a Painless Performance Switch setup to go in the rollcage...maybe a push button Start

Eventually I am going to make a Stainless Steel Dash and set it up with some AutoMeter gauges, shielded switches, etc.

I'm getting ready to make the rear arms but the JJ's I got from Currie are missing some parts The rear arms will be about 41" long to stretch it anywhere from 104-106"

More to come...

Looks awesome so far, keep the pics rolling! A push button start would be different, and quite cool.

Also.. nice to see some hardcore tech stuff on here.. coilovers.. mmmm...

What antisqut numbers did you come up with for the rear? I think the arms I figured out for mine ended up being around 43" long for about 100-110 antisquat.

I'm at somewhere around 75% antisquat though I need to recalculate since the lower links will most likely be slightly shorter than the upper links

Here is the Frame cut away

The new frame is going be sleeved into the old frame at an angle. It will then bend towards the center of the tub at a 45 degree angle approx to the bumper where it will be a straight piece for about a foot before bending to the other side.

Cut some solid stock to help with the disconectable crossmember we are building...this is going to be interesting

Which will slide in the original lower link bracket here

And then connect to a 1 3/4 tube that will attach to this crossmember from BTF

Unfortunetly I didn't have a chance to pick up some tubing so this will have to wait.
