time for a new clutch...any suggestions?

Ok now for about several months everytime it rains my clutch gets all stiff and doesnt feel right. Now it makes a wierd noise when I have it pushed in. Im going to go ahead and buy a new clutch so im not stranded on the side of the road some day soon. I was wondering what brand you guys recomend. The jeep is a daily driver and I go offroad about once a week.
thanks

Checkout Luk brand clutches. Should do you just fine.

Get the standard Luk OE clutch kit which includes everything you need from www.dialaclutch.com/ for something like $130. That's what I used when I replaced my clutch in January. Stay away from the Luk Gold kit though, that's not the best choice for the Wrangler. You can't beat the standard Luk clutch which is what the OE clutch is. Mine lasted 167,000 miles before I decided to change it... but when I pulled the old clutch out, it was still in remarkably good condition, good enough that it probably could have easily made it to 200,000 miles. I was shocked but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Just avoid Centerforce, their clutches are designed for a different type of use (high RPM/HP applications) and they're way more expensive than Luk.

Any good suggestions for online "how to" instructions on replacing the clutch in a '03 TJ?

I only have 95,000 miles on mine, and it just feels like the clutch isn't engaging like it used to (driving over that 95K is very normal - some street and some highway - actaully put 10k of those on during a long drive to work for a while... obviously very easy on the clutch). Is there an adjustment that I should try before replacing the clutch?

Thanks for any help,
-Matt

Looks like this is a good write up for a 2000 too. But how different would it be for an SE 2.5?

How difficult is it to do the clutch? The description in the 4x4xplor.com link suggests it's as specialized as a gear intall/pinion set up. I thought it was more like a more involved rear main seal replacement job. For someone for who the rear main seal is easy and enjoyable, is replacing a clutch too big a step up?
