Throttle sticks at 2500 rpm...
I currently own a 2005 rocky mountain edition TJ in 6 spd. Recently, while home on spring break I have began to notice that while shifting from 1st-2nd or 2nd-3rd my throttle sticks if I have the rmp's around 2500. It is not the accelerator pedal that sticks but im guessing the throttle body itself. It does not seem to be a big deal as the jeep runs like it came off of the showroom floor but I am just wondering what could be causing this? I normally like to shift at around 2500 rpm's and sometime when I engage the clutch the rpm's do not fall they just stay at 2500 until i shift into the next gear and release the clutch. I do not take my jeep to college as it is a part time vehicle and I am wondering if sitting for months at a time without being run could have any effect on this? Could injector cleaner do the trick?
Thanks!

Just completed a couple searches about the issue. Could this have to do with a dirty IAC valve? If so could anyone help me find a thread about how to clean it?

I had similar issues on my 03 Rubi, sprayed the snot out of the throttle plate return spring with white lithium grease and it went away. There was a lot of gunge on there. I also cleaned the throttle plate really well with carb cleaner while I was in a cleaning mood.
