throttle body conversion nightmare

So i converted my throttlebody to a 4.0. I found one of a 98 xj for 40 bucks at a u-pull it. I get it home and put it together and its idling at about 2500 even after switching out the sensors and i look and its all cracked....!!!!!! Do they crack easy because I swear it wasnt cracked when I put it there anyway that i did it???
