Does anyone know where the outside temperature sensor is located?
If possible could someone trace the sensor wire to it?

I think it's up in front of the radiator. A brilliant DCX move that always makes the mirror report a higher than actual temp.
OTH, just having an LED display in my mirror makes me feel better about parking my modest Jeep next a built TJ with 1-ton axles and 37" tires.

Thanks for the response PackMan
Can anyone else confirm this?

the temp sensor if standing in front of the jeep is down low on the passenger side tucked into the grille, and yes it seems to always read a degree or two high... esp since the sensor is BLACK it will also pick up radiant heat from anything warm....

I'm interested in this, too - I've thought about picking up a mirror that has HomeLink for my garage door operner. How is power supplied up to the mirror?

I have the electrical end on the driver side, low, just behind the grill. You should be able to see it looking through the grill next to the headlight. I assume that's where the sensor would be.

If you dont have the sensor fitted the connector is attached just inside on the bottom of the grill.
If you mount the sensor using the DCX bracket it will sit in front of the rad and read high (especially when the vehicle is standing).
You can however mount it below the grill / rubber seal and save the cost of the bracket - I just used one of the "christmas tree" fasteners for the rubber seal to attach mine.
