are these Bestop seat covers waterproof?

Are these what you guys swear by or did I screw up? I just got them and was surprised that, although the description says they are "produced from knit-back automotive grade vinyl", they aren't vinyl at all. I thought "black denim" was the color but that's apparently what they're made of. Learn something new every day.

Anyway, I poured some water on them and it puddled up but I don't have all night to sit around watching to see what happens and I'll probably be driving into some storms tomorrow without doors and windows. Be nice to know how wet my butt's gonna get

as far as the covers go, i do believe those are the ones that many, including Jerry B., swear by. And as far as the storms go, I've done that through Indiana with no doors and no windows. there was more water on the inside of the windshield than on the outside. so be sure to have plenty of paper towels to wipe the inside down. a passenger works great when needing to dry the inside of the window off.

How is the fit on those. Ive been looking at them for a little while to cover my torn seats, but held back cause I didnt want something that was going to bunch up and shift around. Im looking at these, and the I dont see anything about denim?

I like mine. I've had overnight dew sit on them a number of times and I just wipe them off and go.

The fit is great. No bunching lloks better than the stock seats.

I was in a seat cover delima for a long time. I really loved the look of the wet okole's, but did not want to pay the price for them. Then I found these on ebay and man I am impressed. If you scroll down you can see the different combinations that you can get, I got the black with charcoal inserts. I will try to get some pics for you guys, but they fit exactly like the picture. You can get the front and rear covers for slightly over $200 shipped to you. Yep those are made from vinyl, just a nicer than usual grade of vinyl. And yes they are 100% waterproof. I had a set on my TJ for 6-7 years and they held up really well. I only stopped using them when I got new Bestop seats last year.

Wow, I still can't believe they're vinyl, they look and feel like fabric. I was really expecting them to have more of a plastic look and feel to them.

I've driven or let the Jeep sit through dozens of rain showers with no doors or windows without seat covers but if a storm is predicted I've been buttoning the Jeep up because I've been afraid of the wind blowing the rain in.

By the way, the fit is really good. The inside corners on both fit a little funky yesterday but after spending about 45 minutes driving the Jeep with a passenger both covers seem to have smoothed out a lot already. I think they'll fit perfectly after a couple of days

Thanks everybody

I found that putting the defroster on high heat works pretty well. Then you only have to clean the inside of the windshield when the dried garbage gets too thick to see through properly.

Do those have a little cut-out for the flip-forward seat lever?

THEY'RRREEE GRRREEAAT!!! I've had them for 2 summers and I've been caught in the rain plenty of times, they dry fast and water doesn't soak in underneath of them. It's amazing how tight to the seat they stay too.

I have had mine for several months now and realy like them . I was afraid that the vinyl would be too hot here (north texas) but the denium texture helps and they don't stick to your skin. The fit and protection is great.
