is there a way to put a sun roof on your hardtop?
just wondering, since its quite a pain to take off my hard top, if it is possible to have a sunroof on a tj. A nice sun roof would help out alot
i know it is possible with cars/trucks, because my friend has a Z71 chevy truck and he ordered a sun roof kit
he just cut a big rectangle out his roof and inserted the supplied weather stripping along with a few other things (it was a soft top kind of sun roof)
i know that bestop makes those 2 piece hard tops, but i dont feel like spending 20,000 dollars on that right now(exaggeration)

I live in Michigan and think hard tops are for sissy's. If its nice enough to open a sunroof its more than nice enough to yank the whole damn top and doors off.

I know it's a Grerman company so i don't know if they ship to the states... but it's a sunroof. They're stuff is pretty good quality (i have some older bumpers from them that actually look decent) other than that i feel like most of their products make the jeep look like a sissy. Who really wants polished wood on the steering wheel and fold out wood tables... I think we can leave that to escalade owners...

Yah it's definetely overdone and doesn't really work for 'real' jeep. The startech bumpers i have are simple double tubes and stainless. When we got the jeep it was the only we could find that they would legally accept in Luxembourg. the new bumper on the current site is a little blingy too. just thought i'd point it out since it has a sunroof (even opens electronically). please dont think that i would ever do any of that stuff to my ride.

Somebody hack a hole in their roof, drop one in and let me know how it works out

I would check with your local lo-rider, rod and custom shops as most of them do custom rag top installs and would probably be able to one to your specifications.
