I am planning on the same install. The way I see it whats the differance in cutting them now or when the rigs three years older.Give your Jeep the look you want now and enjoy it now why wait.

I say cut it up if your fender needs repair from damage...otherwise leave it alone. Seems you have plenty of clearance for your 32's...

I know I just cant stand letting a weekend go by without doing some sort of manual labor or upgrading on my Jeep.

While at the same time I understand your point (trust me, I do... I look at it and think hmm... what should I expect from UPS this week... and if it's nothing I go and make sure something is in the mail)... I think flat fendering an '05 just for looks is not wise. That's just me though

This is my philosophy also.

Plus cut fenders that aren't reinforced buckle under any tap at all...

Doing something to your jeep just because you need to do something to your jeep usually leads you to making a mistake in my experience. If you're that compelled to work on it, get some more armor.

If Im not mistaken there is a company that makes bolt on flat fenders with tubed edges, that way you wouldnt be cutting up an 05.

Poison Spyder Customs makes a hardcore bolt on tube fender with a 3" flare that can takejust about any kind of abuse you throw at it. If you have the budget and want the tube fender look then go for it. Tube fenders are very practical too. Sell your factory flares (which will get destroyed if you wheel hard) and buy the tubes which are practically indestructable. Bust out the sawsall and give them stock fenders hell.

I love the flat fenders. Just placed an order for poison spyder flat fenders with 3 inch flares in front and ordered the crusher corners with the 3inch flares in the rear!... I just can't decide whether or not to paint them... Thinking about just black rattle can. I have a red jeep 98 with a little fading so there is no chance they will match the color.

Or I could put red color spray on bedliner.. hmmm any opinions on the color?

Go ahead and do it to the 05... I hate those plastic fenders.. they look like crap after they fade to grey anyways!
