Taking off doors for first time...
This is just a little tip for those that have new Jeeps or care about the appearance of your Jeep. I started to take my doors off this afternoon for the first time since last fall. Last time I put the doors on I hand tightened the nuts but over the winter they rusted on and now I cant remove them without a wrench. I came up with a way to get them loose without scratching the paint on the nuts. Cut the fingers off an old cotton glove and slip them onto a crescent wrench. That will keep the wrench from scratching the paint. Just FYI.

Good idea, but if they are super tight, won't the metal just tear through the cotton...at least thats what happens to me everytime I try to use a shop rag on somethig I'm trying not to scratch.
I think some thick rubber would might help more?

If Jeeps could fly...

You can also put masking or painters tape on them. I use it on the inside of my wratchets too.

I took them off four years ago and set them on a shelf in my garage. As a resault they are in perfect shape. If/when I sell the Jeep I'll put them back on.
