T-case magnet, how much metal is typical?

Just pulled my t-case and cleaned off the magnet, and the metal was caked on it pretty thick. Probably a 1/4" thick. For a vehicle without a change for about 40k how thick would I expect it to be caked on there?

As long as its sludge and not big pieces, I wouldn't worry about it.

What he said.

If you wipe it off and check it again in 10k with with same results, *then* I'd be worried.
