Swapping center consoles
I got a Tuffy console for Christmas but I returned it b/c it didn't fit due to my BL/MML. It wouldn't let the t-case shifter move far enough to the right to clear the detent to get into 4-lo.
 Yeah, I coulda taken a grinder to it to make room, but I didn't want to hack it up just in case it still didn't work then I couldn't return it. So I figured I'd get the console insert and keep the cup holders and OEM look, but they only fit 97-00 (Tuffy told me the consoles are different enough that modifying mine isn't an option). So my question is: Does anyone know if a 97-00 OEM center console will fit in my 01?  I don't see why it wouldn't be a bolt-up affair. Second question: Anyone looking to get rid of their dark gray or black 97-00 oem center console? Thanks everyone

Why not get the tuffy, rear-half speaker console?

i think the tuffy would fit in yours just move it over some, or trim the notch on the t/c shifter body mount, that way console isnt harmed,
