Surface rust remedies

After wheeling some time ago, I noticed part of the botton edge of my rocker panel (right underneath the small fender splash guards) was bent and as a result, the paint chipped away exposing bare metal. It has since rusted on the surface, and was wondering the best way to stop it from spreading.
Also, is touch up paint the best way to cover up tiny spots of metal exposed on the grille?... they've started to rust as well.

sand it down a bit and hit it with touch up paint and some spray on clear coat.

Don't forget the clear coat though. The touch up paint will most likely re-rust after a while.

where your jeep is black i would go to www.por15.com and get a tube of there porpatch black and apply it with a model car type brush. once you use porpatch you will use it for everything. it is one of the best products i have come across. it will stop all rust and it will never chip or flake.
