Superior Axle Vers. Alloy USA Chromoly

So now that I've decided which lift, tires, wheels, CV drive shaft, SYE, swaybar kit, and gears to go with I'm stuck. I want to upgrade the rear Dana 44 axles to chromolly and I don't know who to go with. I found a set of Alloy USA chromoly axles for the Dana 30 front but I can't seem to find any for the Dana 44 rear except for a set made by Superior Axel and Gear. The only problem is their about half the price of Alloy USA's set and it has me questioning the strenght of them. Does anyone have any experiance with the Superior axles and if so is it good or bad. If people have used the Superior axles in the past with out any issues I will probably run them in the Dana 44 rear also since they are cheaper. Just to keep everyone informed this is a DD that sees maybe 50 miles per week and get wheeled on the weekend. However I normally don't get into anything to hairy, mostly what could be considered logging trails and farm fields. With that in mind any suggestions?

Lotta people have recommened Superior to me. But that's cause superior is the original maker of the Super 35 kit. Notice I have a 35 rear.
If you look at Jerry B's and others profile they all run Alloy usa. To me, that says something. Of course they all have D-44's too.

Have you had any trouble or heard of anyone having any trouble out of the Superior axles? I mean it's not like i do any really hard wheeling like alot of these guys on here. I jus want something reliable that I can still have fun with and not have to worry whether or not I should do something becuase of the axles. What are you running on your Dana 30? If it is Superior and you do alot of major wheeling I'm probably going to lean more their way.

I'm new to wheeling so this might be a dumb question. What is the big deal with going with the cromoly axel's? Are the stock ones that weak?!?!?!?!

Front axles are going to be alot more expensive then rears, you can't compare based on price a set of D30 fronts to a set of D44 rears. BTW Alloy USA is out of business.

Only troubles I've heard is improper installation. That's it. I run neither in either of my axles. I'm all stock. See my profile.
Alot also has to do with what size tires you plan on going up to.

Too many variables to really answer this. Alot depends on how you wheel, and if you see rocks, or mud... Mostly based on traction. And you have a D-44... I have a D-44 so I have to watch how I press the skinny pedal (accelerate) when I'm on a trail.

I'm going up to 35's and I really don't wheel on all of that hard of terrian but I do like to stay on the gas when I am wheeling. As far as compairing the prices I realize that. I'm sorry for the confusion but I was compairing Superior to Alloy USA rear for rear. But since their out of business I'm probably going to go with The Superior just for the simple facts of warrenty issues with an out of bussiness company, and the price difference. Thanks for the rapid response. Lots of help as always!

Superior 30 spine would be right up your alley if you like to stay on the skinny pedal when off roading.

35 splines would be for those going 37"+... Or unless you really just want piece of mind.

Superior Axle's US made Evolution axle shafts are top quality and that's what I'd go with at this point. Alloy USA went out of business and sold their line of axleshafts to Omix Ada (sp?) and the original management of Alloy USA is now out of that picture. I'm running an Alloy USA alloy axleshaft in my rear Dana 44 (Warn axleshafts up front) but if it ever broke or I wanted to upgrade to 33 splines, I'd go with the Evolution axle shaft from Superior Axle.
