superior/alloy axle tube seals question

i know how to install these things, my question is....

for those of you that have installed the seals, did you remove the plastic disc on the stock axleshaft? im assuming yes, but dont want to remove it until i get an answer. thanks guys....

Yes, I also use "Green Grease" brand of grease because it is waterproof for that added protection.

there is no way to install them without removing the plastic disc.

Green Grease is a brand name that is waterproof. I really dont care the color just the fact that it is waterproof I guess I should have stated it better

Yes, as said above, you remove the plastic pebble guard. We also used red grease. The only bad thing, if you can call it that, is the anodizing does not last. Instead of a nice red, we now have a somewhat pale color as fading has occurred.
