Sunroof in a hardtop?

I'm thinking of putting a sunroof in my hardtop. I found this from Quadratec.
The only issue I see is the ridges on my hardtop. I think I can still make this work. Nothing silicone can't fix. Any ideas or tips you guys think I should know?
Here it is:

Dont do what he did.
Grinding off the ridges till they're flush with the edge of the sunroof trim means only the silicone is keeping the rain out. As the thing flexes, that seal will break. (He even admits it leaks!)
Just fill the grooves (the roof actually has grooves, not ridges) and mount the flange securely on top like it was designed.
