Sucked in water, FIPK's rule!!!!

Got my Currie steering done, new Magnalof cat-back, new y-pipe (sans cat), 1/2" front coil spacers to help with the sag, some 17" Eagle fake beadlocks to help pull the tires back under the fenders, 37" BFG MT's, since I also added the 5x5.5 Warn manual hub kit, which adds 3/4" of width per side.

Me and a buddy go for a 3hour tour (Gilligan!!) all is well. I'm having a bit of hub problems though, after a while, my driver's side hub won't click. No biggie, not looking to get in trouble today anyway............

Beautiful weather, nice calm day, until we come across a gravel pit I've stomped in 1,000times before, find a hole that should be 1-2ft deep, someone dug out the middle.

The K&N FIPK really came in handy allright, if I still ran the stock intake I'd be fine.

Watert finally settled, rear drink holders are still full of water.

Sirius Radio and Kenwood 2-way survived, don't think the speaker did though, it was down in the passenger footwell.

Gotta love the floor drains

Buddy that pulled me out, D60/14 bolt, 502cid w/600hp, detroits, 38" SX's, loud too, heheheh!!

Waterline on the door.

Now that's some pink crap right there!!!

Dumped thee crankcase again, oil looked good, filled again with Amsoil 10w30, large Donaldson filter. Front diff, tranny, and TC all were contaminated, rear diff was fine, dumped anyway.

Changes all plugs, cleaned up plug rail, new air filter, fired up. Runs smooth, I have a pulley squeaking somewhere, will change out belt.

Got lucky, I was turning low rpms when it stalled, never fully hydrolocked any cylinders, just got enough water in to shut it down.

Will now shop for the highest flowing snorkle intake I can get, maybe the Volant is the way to go for the snorkle and air box, maybe the volant box and ARB snorkle........

For all the pics go here

We've had a huge increase in snowfall this year, so there's more water everywhere. I was very lucky I was crawling in slowly to begin with, the dropoff isn't pregressive, it's a 90 degree drop. Once in I only had about 5 seconds before it stalled. If I was on the throttle I would of definitly had internal damage.

All seems to be good. My oil pressure guage crapped out, but it worked yesterday. I think my sub is toast too. All electronics seem to be fine, knock on wood.

That's your airbag computer. If the light isn't on on the dash, it's fine. The PCM is above the battery under the hood.

HAd the same thing happen to me once. Forded the creek in the same place as always, except someone had decided we shoudn't and had dug it all out. Should have only been hub deep so I was going 8-10 mph when the nose dropped. It was so unexpected that my feet came off the floor and one of knees hit the kill switch on the dash. Good thing too, cause you know as soon as I got my feet back on the floor I would have punched it and pretzeld the insides of thAT cj'S 327. water right up to my belly button. glad it workrd out OK for you. You probaly wanted to change those fluids anyway.

I like the name of your U-boat.

Glad to see a sense of humor and humility. We ALL make mistakes. My latest was a similar situation, familiar trail that we have run numerous times but with rain/snow the mud was nearly up to the top of my fenders on the TJ.

Had doors on and couldn't open them. Tried to climb out the top onto the hood as the top was off and slipped then fell in the goo.

My family and friends were laughing so hard that we couldn't carry on a conversation for minutes.

It took all the power of my Warn and a snatch block to get us out.

Needless to say, the rest of the Jeeps went around.

BTW you might want to put the old airbox back on.

WIll take her for a tour tonight after work, my mech is going over it to make sure all is well, and to check out the hub.

Will update accordingly. By the way, I think the U-Boat logo is more for me than my Rube, LOL!

You are my new hero, i dont know what i would do if that happen to my jeep. . . proably run around screaming (or in this case swimming) for half and hour. Good work keeping the sense of humor, thats whats saved me from my mistakes and vandalisms.
