That sounds about right. And yes, you need to regear front and rear.

when you regear the rear you will have to regear the front... unless you never want to use 4wd

reason being is because in 4wd both driveshafts have to spin at the same rate or it puts stress on the t case differentials and everything in between because the re-geared side will want to spin faster and fight the stock geared side.

You must have both axles regeared to the same gear ratio if you ever plan on using 4 wheel drive otherwise your tires will try to spin at different rates. (front and rear) I have a sahara that came with 3.73 gears from the factory and with 33s it fairs ok however 4.56 is a better choice if your planning to keep your axles, and pay for regearing furthermore if you move up to 35's you should still have enough gear that way. Another option would be to find a set of 4cyc axles because they run 4.10 gears and should be alot cheaper to buy the whole axle vs regearing. Do some research and find out what rear axle you have if its a dana 44 rear keep it and regear. Also if you look on the plate attached to your diff cover it will tell you what gears you currently are running. If its a dana 35 then I would just find a set of axles from a late 90's 4cyc cherokee and swap them in. still would have a dana 35 rear but the high pinon dana 30 would be stronger and have a better driveshaft angle for the front and you would have 4.10 gear which should be adaquate. At least thats my opinon regearing in houston isnt cheap unless you have friends.
