Stupid Seatbelt and Door Latch

How many of you have gotten out of you jeep, shut your door, only to have it hit the seatbelt strap that somehow makes its way over the latch, and then have the door not shut. Am I the only one that this happens to Sorry, had to see if im the only nummy this happens to! lol

Happens to the pas side all the time.I have to put a strap or a clip to the vertical part coming from tha floor up.But then again it might not work properly and be dangerous
Well it's just one of those jeep things. You probably do understand

It happens a lot when the spring in the seat belt spool gets worn out.

Happens on both of them in my Jeep. It's the clip on the belt that keeps it from retracting all the way. As it retracts, the clip hits up top and prevents it from going any further. Not sure how to fix that though, as it just has to do with where your seatbelt is adjusted to.

My wife does it all the time & it's normally the start of a argument. It's started to frey my seatbelt.
I guess I'll try to replace the spring...

It used to happen to me until I replaced the worn out belts and started paying attention to that every time I get out. I haven't slammed the door on it in about a year now.

When you unhook your seatbelt, slide the latch down the belt a little. It is what it is........it's what they do. I just got used to it. Now sliding the latch clip is habit and I don't have anymore issues.

Ditto. Just make sure you help the seatbelt retracts and push the buckle/latch up as far as it can and soon it'll become the norm to do that before you leave your seat.

Happens only when I DON'T look before closing door. Otherwise, never happens when I purposely take the time to check where that belt is positioned when getting out! Jammed real good last time-had to climb in passenger side to force door back open!

It only happens to me 2-3X a day, I hate it when that happens.
