PM mrblaine or buy it off Amazon: Amazon.com: Jeep Style Steering Knuckle Saver Kit for the TJ, YJ, ZJ, XJ, Plus
I wish I saw this a couple months ago, my bolts sheared off in my knuckle and although I eventually drilled it out the threads were wrecked. If I had this kit I would have been in heaven. $100 for a shop to retap the threads and it didnt even last long because the bolts were loose after a week. They heli-coiled them for free after that and I've been happy ever since. This is going on my bookmarks list though I gurantee I will encounter this problem again. Please please please keep a bunch of these around its kits like these that I will appreciate 10 years down the road when I'm trying to restore my XJ when the caliper bolts strip in the knuckle

We are waiting on a shipment of taps and we've kept a couple of kits in stock for emergencies until they come in at which point we will change the inventory available from Amazon.

Sorry for posting XJ question here.but it is the thread I needed
I found this:
Brakes:
Brake Caliper: M8-1.25x125mm
So I'm going to look for an insert that would fit M8-1.25
I'm bumping this thread because I did new axles/bearing hubs and brakes on my 98 Sport today.
The tough stuff went easy and the easy stuff got tough.
The lower caliper bolt wouldn't thread.
I have the insert tool, and taps but I don't know the caliper bolt thread size yet.
If someone knows the bolt thread/pitch, it would put me one step ahead for tomorrow mornings shopping run, when I pick up where I left off.
Dez,
NYC

You may want to contact Black Magic Brakes. They sell this kit now and may have what you need to work it on your XJ.
