Carfax isn't always accurate. Nothing showed up in the carfax report of the TJ I bought this time last year. Bought off of Ebay, flew to NY and drove it home. Closer inspection showed the rear had been repaired and painted. I still like the vehicle but was disappointed.

I had this question about a year ago when i got my new TJ, except mine had Unlimited decals on one side... got back a clean Carfax report had it gone over at an independent shop that I trusted and nothing looked replaced, all the numbers matched, seams seemed perfect... came to the conclusion the factory just messed up... but the mystery still bothers me to this day... removed the unlimited decal, replaced the X decal just cause it bugged me.

Just pop the hood and open all the doors and feel for paint lines around the seems. If you run your finger down the inside of the fender you will feel a tape line if it has been painted. Even if it has that isn't always a bad thing. I would say 40% of the vehicles on the road have had some kind of body repair. Just check it out real good and maybe have your mechanic check it out but don't let a little paint work scare you especially when you consider it has 100k on it.

Same here.. See pic in profile..

Also if it's a 4.0 108k is not high miles yet.. I have 170k on mine and it runs like a champ... Just keep up on the oil changes..

Is it possible that your TJ is from Canada? Mine is, and I notice that the decals are a little different. Check your build sheet. It will let you know. Another things that might clue you in... do you have a block heater?

Both decals lok to be off in my opinion.
the Sport is too far to the left and the Wrangler is supposed to be on the rocker below the Jeep.

Make sure what your buying is actually a sport. I had a buddy who wanted a rubicon and almost bought an SE because it had the rubicon sticker on the side. When I went with him to the dealer to do a final look over I realized that it had a 4 banger and the wrong axles. Not even the used car dealer noticed it wasn't a rubicon. Try sending jeep an email and request a copy of the build sheet to make sure.

They didn't stop putting them on. They did change the font though...as shown in the pics from the OP with incorrect placement.

I saw a Jeep with the same sport sticker and placement here in Colorado... So you should be fine. Take a look under the hood, make sure its a 6 cyl. If it really bothers you, a little elbow grease will get the sticker off and you can order a new one at allthingsjeep.com for cheap and put it how YOU like it!!

Did Sports come with Ecco's? I thought they only come on X's
it looks to be a sport because of fog lamps and hooks.
The rear tailgate hinges I believe are missing the plastic covers, but that don't mean anything.

I wonder if that is because you have an apex addition?
