Stock rear spring mount relocation?

Is it possible to cut the stock rear spring mounts off the frame and relocate them without buying a kit? Would it negitivly effect lift height?

Yes you can, my buddy did just that. He carefully cut them of flipped them around and moved them back a bit so the springs sat straight. It lifted the back close to 1" so he took the spacer he had in there out and all was good
