Sticker Removal (on plastic windows and paint)

I just tried little 'goof-off' on a sticker on the paint of my jeep, but it didn't really do much. It recommends rubbing it with a brush, but that wouldn't work on the paint - any products/ideas/techniques you guys use to get crappy stickers off?

Also, what do you use on the plastic windows to get stickers off of those?

(No, I didn't put the stickers on, it came that way )

WD-40 works well for both , the painted surfaces & the windows .
A plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card helps once the adhesive is soft enough .

Lighter fluid isnt good for paint, it can be used a paint thinner actually. Small doses would be okay, but rinse off immidiately.

I would suggest using rubbing alcohol to remove any left over goo, or try a product called googone

The dental flass trick is a good one, try heating the sticker with a hair dryer or heat gun first.

I've also read threads where people heat a face cloth in boiling water then quickly (using tongues) apply it to the sticker. This losens the adhisive a bit, peel ith with dental floss, and clean it up with alcohol.

Note: rewax after this, as most of the products will remove wax aswell as the sticker goo.

Use a hair dryer and then your finger nail. I took off the Wrangler and 4.0L stickers off by apply heat from the hair dryer and then picking at the corners with my finger nail. Once I could get a hold of a corner the stickers peeled rite off.

Wow - WD-40 worked really well! it took 'em all off easily - one I had to use a razor blade for, but there are no ill-effects - thanks!
