I recently noticed that when I am doing 55mph my steering wheel shimmies a little. At lower and higher speeds the shimmy does not exist. Anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks

It's not likely an alignment issue. Most likely a tire is simply out of balance. Or less likely, maybe either a little mud is stuck inside a wheel throwing it out of balance or possibly a wheel is bent a little. In my case, my 40-50 mph shimmy is coming from two bent steel wheels. :D

clean off all the gunk on your wheels inside
and out. Have your tires rebalanced. If problem
is still there, rotate fronts to backs and see
if problem is less. I did this and problem
totally went away.

ditto...probably just a balance issue - I have twice thrown a weight when offroad. - they get scraped off on the rocks.
always remember - it is a good idea to do a 'routine check' of the under carriage after any offroading trip.

thanks for the suggestions. it is probably a balance issue. i had my tires rotated at the dealership recently and maybe they forgot to balance them after they rotated them.
