First, welcome to JF! Next, you'll need a friend to help you do a quick simple check. Start the engine and have your friend sit inside the Jeep and start turning the steering wheel back and forth... rapidly, slowly, just back & forth. You get down in front of the Jeep and watch everything that is moving around and you'll quickly see what makes the wheels turn L/R when the steering wheel is turned. You may be able to spot what is happening with a little study and closely watching everything for any improper movement between when it's being turned left vs. being turned right. And is the steering wheel centered when you are driving straight?
