We're rebuilding our 2004 TJ into more of a race interior after a fire consumed the OEM dash for the most part.
We want to go with an aftermarket steering wheel, and I'm considering re-using the OEM column vs. buying an aftermarket one. However, the assembly that holds the multi switch and all of that appears to be permanently attached.
Has anyone seen or actually used an OEM column WITHOUT this gray cast aluminum piece on it? I'm trying to get down to the bare column, and I'll move the ignition components to our new flat dash setup.
