I am a bit confused by the question but you need to use the relay wiring for my KC lights if you mounted your fogs up front.

First thought was to mount a single flood in the center of the rear tire. I was going to use the factory brake wiring pass through in the door as power for the flood. The two issues that arose with that is I want to easily be able to remove the spare and TX requires a 3rd brake light and 2 backup lights, both of which I do not have yet hence the NM plates.
Texas does not require a 3rd brake light or reverse lights during vehicle inspections.

I was going to trim down the stock bumper to give a little smaller profile. Changed my mind after giving my son a driving lesson. He let out the clutch, got the 32"s spinning on the grass in our neighbors barn yard. When the tires bit, the Jeep surged forward impacting a 6"X6"X6' granite hitching post, buried 3' in the ground. Contacted the bumper just to the outside of the right frame rail mount. Put a small dent in the bumper, pushed the post to the ground and we stopped on top of it, once the E-brake that I was yanking on stopped us. My son was busy flapping his arms, closing his eyes and sliding down in the seat just before impact. Had I modified the bumper, I'd be replacing a fender, grill and hood. Let the bumper take the impact, not the body panels.

That was a great story! Especially about how your son reacted. It's tough letting people learn to drive on your jeep. Glad the stock bumper did it's job or you would be out of some major cash now!

It was pretty funny...once it was clear that there was no damage. I was surprised with the strength of the stock bumpers. I was too scared to estimate replacement costs, but it would have been a good opportunity to score an AEV hood and highline fender kit. That's the one situation I might have been able to push that one through the family budget/CFO(wife)

looking good, but i do have a question, on the first page you mentioned that texas requires 2 reverse lights, how does the mini cooper get past that then?

I see that the people at the registration place misinformed me (not surprised) But I was going to add them all anyways so no worries and the main reason I did not search deeper into the TX law.

Got back early this am for the day. I got the passenger side completed and all the flares reinstalled. I still want to clean the cut edges with a hot chisel but that will have to wait until later in the week.

To mark the cuts I marked the flares on the vehicle with the painters tape. Measuring up from the ground to the top of the rocker guards and transfering this measurement to 4 locations on the flare. I then connected the marks with tape a used a air saw to hack the bottoms off. Overall super easy and the look good enough to last until I install tube fenders.

I came home to find the UPS man had left me lots of ebay presents.

Lots of items for the 8.8, gears for the Dana 30 and a used steering box cover.

Genuine Gear D-30-456TJ 4.56 ring and pinion

Genuine Gear 25-2032 D-30 Bearings and seals

Genuine Gear 35-2031 D-30 tappered roller bearings, ball bearings, seals, and gaskets

Brake Best Select SM667 Disk brake pads for the 8.8

Napa 95342 emergency brake cable 8.8 swap (part numbers on the JU forum are incorrect)

Napa 95547 emergency brake cable 8.8 swap (part numbers on the JU forum are incorrect)

Napa 380528 rubber flex hose 8.8 swap

Napa 813-1204 3/16"x20" hard brake line 8.8 swap

Napa 813-1206 3/16"x40 hard brake line 8.8 swap

The cover was a snap, two factory bolts and a single self tapper into the tube connecting the frame rails.

I installed a set of bolts lights on the plate to please the "man" What I did was drill out the factor plate bolt holes to fit the studs on the bolt lights. I then jb welded the plastic nuts on the back of the holder. You can see on the drivers side I had to make a hole in the back of the mount to access the light bolt. I then placed the holder back on the vehicle and used a center punch to mark the locations right behind the bolt lights. I drilled two holes in the tub and installed grommets for the wiring to pass in behind the taillight. Reinstalled the brackets, screwed in the lights and soldered the connections into the tailight

***I am also updating the winch issue post***
