Sawzal and grinder would take care of it in no time. A good rescue blade would do it quick. Send me pics afterwards. Do you have a picture with the fenders off and the complete front bumper?

Click free viewing. I am undecided. I like the look from the front with the new fenders but not from the side. I'd have to drink a cold one and really look at it in person.

What brand are your fenders? Have any problems relocation and of the guts in the engine compartment. I think I am going to Rhino line mine as well as the lower part of the jeep body.

Smoke what do you mean by "Market of the land" Bolsa de la Tierra ??

Nothing fancy to post. Serviced the trans and motor oil today so all the fluids are done except the brakes. I am waiting on those till I do the 8.8 rear swap. I also picked up a set of Fabtech 4" springs (FT 50005 BK for the rear and FT 5004 BK for the front at a whooping $100.00 total.) For another hundred dollar bill I got the entire rear case half off his NP231 with a SYE already installed.

My question is as follows: was there any difference in the 231 from a YJ and the one in the TJ. If I remember correctly it was only in the tailsection that they varied so the rear case half off a YJ should be a direct fit on my TJ 231. This would make the SYE super simple since I would just have to change out the rear case halfs.

Anyone here running an 8.8 and rotated their shock brackets up to gain some ground clearance? If so please shoot me a PM I need to steal a few measurements. (info for later so I do not loose it (RS99255 Frt comp-15.875 ext-25.875 RS99256 Rear comp-15.125 ext-24.000)

I also did the 2 min swap on the visors to get rid of the dang warning stickers. Just pulled the visors from the shafts and changed sides.

I spent another 4 hours with a clay bar, the buffer and multiple compounds to get the paint ready for some trail scratches only and loose all the road crud.

Just some newbie FYI's when servicing the auto trans it is easily done with the skid in place there is only one bolt near the exhaust bracket that might take a bit of work. Make sure the jeep is tilted a bit a** high and break the front of the pan loose with one rear bolt still partially installed. I filled mine back with 4 qts of oil and buttoned it up after replacing the filter and gasket. As I was disposing of the used oil I thought it would be only right to flush most of the oil in the system. I removed the driver side hose entering the radiator and installed the tube from my trans funnel over the hose and into a 1 gallon bucket. With the motor running, wheels choked, emergency brake on you can place the trans in nuetral and the pump will engage and pump fluid out of the removed hose. I filled the jug up with about 3 qts and shut it off. Dumped the used fluid and refilled the trans. Do this a couple of times until you get clean fluid pumping and you are good to go.

FYI on removing the rubber windshield bumpers from hood. A deep 10mm socket with some grease on the inside will pop them right out. Push the socket onto the bootom of the rubber flange until it contacts the hood. Give it a good twist and pull the rubber bumper off the hood. You should have the socket out already from removing the upper hood clamp brackets. Bottom hood clamp brackets are 15mm. Hood winshield hold-down bracket is a 9mm. Wiper fluid noozels pop out with a set of neeedle nose pliers and remove the hose at the double male fittings on the hose not at the noozle iteself.

P.S. Do not let a buddy reinstall your windshield tie down bracket after he has had a few beers. He will overtighten it and snap off the shaft causing you to cuss and have to order a new one even though you will never use it. You will just hate the holes in the hood.

About have the springs all stripped of powder coating. I will try and sandblast them tomorrow and repaint. I got bored and installed the rock bars today.

Still searching for some axles.

Now I've got to get rid of those crappy fenders.
Where did you get the sleeve that is over your KN intake in the pic?? Doesn't that prevent water from coming in the intake when offroading??

Your project is coming along very nice btw!!

Looks good. I'll trade you a winch for some wheels and tires

Not much going on over the weekend. Had too many honey-dos.

Did pick up a new rear adjustable RE track bar from ebay for a cool $100.00 shipped. Still need a new axel to mount it on.
