Anyone have any expreience with the tanner stamped roll bar gussets? I traced them down after seeing them on the Teal J project and I think I might use them on my cage. I really think it gives a clean look to the cage versus a flat gusset.

Wow I just spent half my night reading through this when I should have been working on a paper that is due in a few hours. Very nicely done. I wish I had half your skills.

Welded a bolt on my POB bracket and installed a jam nut so I can use the new Craftsman digital level when bending tube and do not have to worry about knocking it off which happened a few time with the old level. FYI the digital levels are on sale right now at sears. I got this one because the built in laser is great for measuring out the cage design. This one was regular $49.95 down ot $34.95 the cheaper one was about $29.95 on sale.

Got some tube work done on the front end but still waiting on my 1.75" dies to start the cage. Still need a two more support bars for the grill hoop but I got sidetracked on the cage project. I deside to make all the plates with 1" holes and 1" rolled stock connectors for the floor connections.

4 bolts per A pillar plate 4 bolts per b pillar plate 2 bolts per c pillar plate The only load the bolts should recieve because of the 1" pins would be if the cage was pulled straight up on the mounts. Side load should be carried by pins and frame mounts. If a frame mount failed it should stay attached to the tub via inserts. I do not think I need more bolt diameter but welcome opinions. I could easily drill out the plates and tub inserts if needed. I am also getting rid of the factory buckets in preparation for some Mastercraft seats if anyone needs some factory seats.

After working a bit for the last few evenings I have now got the front bumper in primer. Well actually you can see who did most of the work
She is my rock for sure. Just waiting for time and a clear day to spray it with Herc.I thought this would be a good project to try out Bendtech and it really is a great program if you haven't used it. Still waiting on the 1.75" dies to start the cage.

What is this -- the whole family is into modding a Jeep. Where do you adapt a family like this?

That is a stout looking bumper/stinger. I plan to build one from scratch soon, so I'm keeping an eye on everybody's design ideas. Top notch work. ![]()

There are not many choices on there that are 3 wire and you will need that to have them work as markers and blinkers.
