Spring or BB
Im looking to give my jeep a little more height, and off road capability. What would u guys go with. A BB or Spring lift.
First option is a RE BB, with shocks Second is a BDS spring lift with BDS shocks My jeep is a 97 with 120,000 miles. original springs etc. Im leaning more towards the Spring..i know i wont go any high with this jeep where im looking to just run 31 tires

stock jeep will run 31's, easliy and very little rubbing

with 120k on your springs the BDS is probably a better option if you have the $$

Your springs are over 10 years old...like said above get new springs if you've got the cash. The spacers will still raise your jeep 2" from where it is now, but taller springs will raise it at least 2" from where it was when you bought it.

With just a 2 inch I wouldn't think you would have to worry about vibs. But if you get a few you can always just lower the tcase with a few washers.

yeah, but i want to stay away from lowering the t-case. I know i could do an SYE but with me only going with a 2 inch lift i dont really want to spend a lot of money for new ds and SYE. If i do get some maybe a MML and BL...

a MML should get rid of any vibes you get from a 2" lift

Springs if you can afford that rout. BB is cheap but gets the job done. I do off road mine, so the BB has served me well. I still would like to have a spring lift, and I will do the RE 4.5 long arm when I can.

Just out of curiosity, do you have the 4.56 gears that the later auto 4 cyl. TJ's had?
