Speaker Wire Colors

I tried to earch for this, but could not find what I was looking for. Can anyone help me out with the speaker wire colors for the soundbar in an 03? Going to put some 6.5s in after work today.

Mine are a little different than that for the factory wiring on my 99 TJ, so I don't know how accurate it is. (I just had my dash off looking at them today)

I would just get something like these to do it, http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N
It makes it alot easier to install.

Well, no luck on the install. The 6.5s were too big to fit into the sound pods in my 03? I also checked the front speakers and I have two speakers on each side. One is round at about 5 inches and the other looks like a little tweeter. I guess it has true 7 speakers. Will probably just leave it alone for now. I might put a little stronger 5.25's in the sound pods later, but will live with it for now. I would have had to make a plate out of wood or something to make the 6.5's fit in the rear. They were WAY to big.

I put 6.5 pioneers 3 ways in the pods. The stock ones are full range paper. It made the clarity better. I had to crimp the speaker housing all the way around to fit and file the 4 holes inward slightly and used factory grills.

A radio city guy that installs radios in many vehicles said the Jeeps are wired with the brighter of the two colors being the positive. There are no (-) or (+) marking on my factory rear pod speakers so I went by this. I used the crimp on connecters so I would nt have cut/remove the factory plugs.
