Soft top, rear window

Just recently traded in my 96 Cherokee for an 05 TJ. As soon as I got back up north I dropped the hard top and am now running the soft. Issue is that the rear window sags a bit past the tailgate. How have you guys fixed this to keep the rain from flooding your "storage space"?

Is it just the window or are your corner sails drooping also? Could be a frame issue. I have not heard of a window stretching that much that it sags. I would be looking at the soft top frame, the zipper. If all else checks out falling short of getting another rear window nothing.

Have you got the metal piece that slides in along the bottom of the window and clicks in? It sounds like you may be missing something.

Sounds like it. If every thing's in place, the rear window should be pretty tight, and no water should be leaking in.

Hmm... just seems like the bottom of the window isn't catch on anything, so it dips a notch. I probably am missing something. ANyone got a picture of how it should look?

When you took the hard top off did you install the small 6" long brackets on each side of the tail gate. The look like kind of like this [ .

the rear window should have a rail on the bottom that slides into to those c looking brackets and then when you shut the tailgate it holds that rail in and seals it up. I know with my TJ you have to take those brackets off when you put the hard top on and I always forget about them when I install the softtop.

You can see the bracket on the back of this jeep on the right side, above the tail light (the black bracket)

The top was already installed, and the bracket is on there. I was wondering what it was for. I'll have to look around, maybe I just didn't see that piece when I unloaded the windows from the box. I'll call around.

They crack very easy when it's cold, as I'm sure most people know. Mine's got plenty of duck tape on it. Makes my Jeep look all ghetto.
