Soft top inside of hard top?

I have an 06 LJ, and I'm wondering...

Will the soft top in the down position, fit with the hard top on? Obviously without the door surrounds... I don't have a very good place to store the extra top at the moment.

Sure. That's how it comes from the factory.
It's considered not good for the top to leave it there though.

I store mine under my king size bed. Seems to work well for me.

I removed my soft top shortly after buying my rig... it is a PITA to put anything in the back with the soft top inside the hard top. But if you have no room at this time.. I'm sure you will be fine.. but I would get it out of there when you find a place to store it. They fold up into a very small package, like mentioned above you could store it under your bed. Here is what the owners manual states.....

DUAL TOP — IF EQUIPPED
If your vehicle is equipped with a Dual Top, you must
remove one of the tops from the vehicle. The soft top
was installed at the factory for shipping purposes only.
The soft top and the hard top are to be used independently.
Removal is mandatory to prevent any possible
wear and tear on the soft top, should both tops remain on
the vehicle at the same time.

Yes, the rear window is the same, but the side windows are longer for an LJ.

Does anyone happen to know what size the screws are for the rear window bar retainer brackets?
