From what i can see the skyjacker covers his oil pan and my stock one doesn't so this would make the skyjacker longer not shorter. The only trouble is mine is a 03 4.0 lt auto and he has a 97 4.0lt auto.So different transmissions...

I wish I knew. I've been holding off buying a skid just for this very reason. Instead they brought another bumper to the market.

The reason I labeled it major update is for this very reason. If Savvy doesnt hurry up, they could potentially loose a lot of business to this skid.

Better let Blaine know that. I think if I were buying right now... I would sit on the money and just wait for a little while for money to do different things. The claimed gains that Gerald confirmed come out to about 4"+. That is a significant amount since most get 2"-3"

I can say that are possibly getting closer to production. I read somewhere on the forum that they are looking for an efficient and effective way to produce them so it's not so expensive like a one off. I know it's out there. And it's well worth the wait. I also know they ARE getting to the final stages.

Yea, I am in the same boat. I have been waiting on the savvy skid. I think I will give them a few more weeks. If not, I'll throw in the towel then.

My entire project is on hold for this very reason. I have a 4" lift, an SYE, and an axle swap ready to install. If I get the Rockmen skid I'll go with a the 4" lift. If the Savvy skid gains as much clearance as the say I'll go with a 2.5" lift. The only reason being is that a 4" lift PLUS a 4" tuck would mean some outrageous driveshaft angles and a super short SYE.

And honestly, if the skid was completely flat I could live with 2.5" of lift. it would make using the Jeep daily a lot nicer.

Ain't that the truth! The 2.5" lift and 4" from savvy would be 6.5" at the belly. Combine that with tires, and you can get a significant gain over stock. I have 28" tires stock, so flat fenders and 35"s would have massive travel, and about 10" of extra belly clearance.
