Im sure if you already have a 1.25" BL they will ship you a skid without one at a lower price.

Dale, do you know if it is a full bodymount replacement, or just a body puck like most?

Major Update:

We have 2 new skids in town folks... Both from 1 manufacturer. A manufacturer that is already listed for making a TT on this thread.

Under Cover Fab has just started yesterday on the production of prototype 304 Stainless and 6061-T6 Transfer Case Skids.

Thats right there will be an Aluminum skid that isnt made by Savvy as well as a Stainless Steel skid on the market very very soon.

The prototype of the aluminum skid will be ready by this week. There will be pics posted by Thursday. They will be very similar to the current skid plates, and the 1/4" thick aluminum skid will weigh 26lbs instead of 77lb steel version of their TT. A savings of 15lbs from stock.

According to the FEA software that are used to test strength overall strength, the aluminum skid will be just a touch stronger too.

It will be cool to get more info on the UCF skid. Do they mention price, clearance, BL requirements?

It sounds like it will be the same skid just made out of other materials, I would assume it would still require a 1" body lift.

Somone make an AEV skid out of aluminum, use all of there hardware just copy the skid plate. I bet a lot of people would eat those up.

Thats what I was thinking too. I just wasn't sure. Rubidriver, are they going to send you pics for the thread when the prototype is done? That would be nice, and would help complete the pic portion.

There was no mention, but from looking at the pricing on his other stuff, Im sure it will be reasonable. Those metals are more expensive than mild steel, and both talk more skill to weld, so we shall see.

Where can i find info if the skid row engine skid is ok with the skyjacker high clearance skid?Someone mentioned that the skyjacker is shorter than the stock skid thus the skid row won't reach all the way and leave a gap between them?Anyone can confirm this?

I dont know about this. This is one reason I will be buying my tcase skid and engine skid from the same manufacturer. I would contact Skid Row or Skyjacker, even then I doubt they will know.
