smittybilt winch???

I just bought a smittybilt xrc8 winch. I know it's not a Warn or mile marker, but it's what I could afford. Anybody have one? Have yo uhad to use it? and How did it work?
I'm very new to Jeeps, so I appreciate the input.

i got mine about 2 months ago now...i have used it in testing a few times and on the trails about 10 times so far...i have yet to winch myself out of any mess but i have helped friends get out of some messes with ease

in my opinion this winch is the same exact thing as the m8000 or similar and costs so much less. the gear ratio is less but the horsepower is more than the warn so i think it comes close to the same pulling rate as the m8000

i personally think smittybilt makes some good products and for a winch that costs half of the m8000 you really cant beat it

you will love it

I've been using mine for all sorts of pulling duties. I got myself out of a real jam the other week. I went behind my parents house to help pull down a hung up tree my dad was cutting down. Worked just fine. Then the old man got his saw caught in the tree, So I pulled it around and threw it in reverse to reposition myself to take some pressure off the tree. While going in reverse, I slipped into the ditch on the mud and put me at a nasty rolling angle (clinometer was way past the red on this one). My tires and 4wd weren't going to be much help, probably put me in a worse spot. Busted out the winch and I was outta there That xrc works great. The only thing I can say is be sure to get yourself an optima.
