Smittybilt Tube Fenders...Good/Bad ?

Guys,
I thought I saw a post on here once, however I am not having any luck w/ finding it via Search button.

I am looking for some tube fenders that are complete w/ inner fenders and that are all bolt in. These seem to fit that bill.

I am looking for pros/cons of these.

Other options welcomed.

Thanks
Matt

good subject.
i too would like to know.
i want to flat fender one of these days.

the psc fender requires use of the original.
is there a flat fender that 'replaces' the original?

Just a note, I think "flat fender" refers to using the stock fender and triming them so they are flat. I think "tube fender" is the correct term for what we are looking for.
Not bashing, just makin ya aware.

they are good, come primed, just need paint
installed a set on a friends jeep, all the holes lined up
took about an hour a side, just unbolting and bolting things back up.
i will be getting a set for myself when my wife lets me play with the cc

could you get us some close up pics?
I would like to see how things line up.
You know, does the hood sit nice and parallel, seams tight, etc, etc.

Thanks
Matt

I have the Poison Spyder Customs on my TJ...I love having them.
They were a PITA to get on and to get powder coated. But it is worth it.
They are Hella strong and look great.

I looked at the smittybuilt..they are not as beefy as the PSC ones.
The metal on the Smittybuilt ones are as thin as the stock sheet metal.

You get what you pay for....simply put.

From my experience anything from Smittybuilt is JUNK.
I've tried their hood lock and it didnt line up.
I tried their mirror relocators and they jusy didnt look right.
Also I've seen their side steps and they're made of overly thin metal. Junk.

I second the motion that Smittybilt is junk. I had tube bumpers in the "rust-proof" titanium finish. They rusted completely through, to the point that I made a customer service request, and they sent me a new rear bumper with no questions asked. That new bumper ALSO rusted through. Both these rusting cycles occured within 2.5 years. I replaced those with Jeeperman bumpers.

Short version: Great customer service, bad product.

I can't speak for the tube fenders, and they might be great as long as you finish them yourself. The finish on my tube bumpers was rippling and bubbling wherever the rust would travel. I would just be questioning the quality control of the company and how far that lack of quality control permeates their construction in ALL their products. My "rust-proof" tail light guards were doing the same thing when I took them off two weeks ago.
