What is the small white flat plug under the front dash plate on a 2004 Jeep wrangler? it is on and faces to the right, white, and flat four or five wires.

Yep, your harness is pre-wired; not all are - mine was not. All you'd need is the mirror, the upper harness (runs up the passenger A pillar), and a second ambient temperature sensor at the front grill (also pre-wired, just add the sensor).

Here's more:

C203 Mystery - Auto Dim/Temp/Compass Mirror Install

Pre-Wired - Auto Dim/Temp/Compass Mirror Install

Without the pre-wire it's a pain, with it, it's plug and play.

Really? I thought all of them came pre-wired. I bet its a pain. Did you install one yourself? I know I like mine, mainly for the map lights since there's no visor/mirror lights.

Yep, that first link in my prior post "C203 Mystery" details the fun I had. But, in the end, the painful memories fade and the enjoyment continues on. Likely, that's how the ladies deal with childbirth too...

Best thing about that harness, it has a 12v wire (green/white or white/green) that is easily tapped for the Reverse feed for the auxiliary/reverse lights using a SPDT switch.

I was hoping that's what it was.
That is awesome, I was wanting to add the mirror with the built in compass, that is perfect, now does any one know where I can get one at best deal.

I bought a complete factory kit around '06 with mirror, sensor and bracket. Can't remember where from. Plugged right in.

Yeah...

...but we don't take your word for anything. You're not a supporting member, have not posted enough to establish any credibility or filled out your profile correctly so apparently that makes you an idiot. So you've been told.

It was a joke bro... only a joke. I remember the threads that resulted in the generation of your now former signature. Perhaps a tad down on the sensitivity meter?

And, as to the genius comment, yep... Mensa member. I used to be in the top 2% nationally but that's likely declined over the years. Probably wouldn't make it in today.
