Slow Going Build

ok i thought i should start a build thread so i can keep track of what all i'm doing and keep every one up to date.
as the jeep sits now i have a
2.5l, ax-5, stock np231, D30/Ford8.8.
3" full traction
31" tread right MTG
Sorry no pictures today but i will post some up as soon as i can.
Right now i'm saving up for a 5.9l and 46RE.
plans are to swap out the motor and trans first.(my parts will be coming from BackWoodsOffroad) after that then some lockers front and rear with some
35's and a home made long arm. i will have my welder do the welding
i will then build a new roll cage and tie it in to the frame(thinking 6 point)
i would like any info or advice anyone can give i only want to do this ones

You don't trust your welds for motor mounts but do trust them to keep the axle under your jeep? Not flaming you, just sounds a little contradictory

Could be wrong, but i believe there would be greater forces on the axle mounts than there would be on the engine mounts. As long as you have a welder thats up to the task, take your time to prep the metal well, and make sure you get good penetration I wouldn't be worried about doing the welding yourself assuming your 8.8 is holding up just fine

I thought it was strange when you referred to your welder as a "him"

ok so I was just thinking. I can't see spending $700 on someone to do something I can do.

but I need to know what all wires need to be swapped. is there a Wright up or anything that I'm not finding
