Sliders Needed, Cheap & Fast
I need to get sliders for my TJ before I go to Big Bear for the 4th. I really like the Custom 4x4 ones. Anybody have set they don’t use any more, or another suggestion? Please call or e-mail Moose. 619-200-6034, 858-549-9550, moose_daddy@hotmail.com. Thanks, guys.

Cheap and sliders do not work in the same sentence, most here say A to Z fabrication or Rokmen, you pick. If you are going to use them the way you should you shouldn't go cheap unless you like repairing your tub.

RE: Sliders
OK... Point taken about cheap. I Mean Inexpensive...
I have a welder, can buy metal. have no space, or spare time to do it in. |

How much is cheap? I went with Smittybilt XRC's $230, they'll do the trick... I think those others are nice, but not much better than the XRC's, sure ww2ww, but they don't really provide that much more under body protection.

I personally love my warns, was on a guard rail (dont ask) and all that happened was I had to fix the paint on the rock rails. The guard rail lost bad.

Go here, http://store.4wheelingplus.com/products.asp?cat=149 Enjoy. I've got the 99.00 set. They have seen rocks , my tub is still intact, no dents. will be welding bar across next cause I already have a bar so why spend more cash?

If you're looking for inexpensive and fast I'd suggest the Warn, too. They've been holding up nicely for my use the last 4 years (including several drops onto the sliders) and are good for what they are.
But if you're in a hurry, the other reason to recommend the Warns is that they're a mass produced item and probably stocked by several 4x4 vendors or local 4x4 shops. So having a set order and shipped out can probably be done quickly. If you go with some custom shops, sure the quality and durability is great but how quickly can they get them out the door and into the shipping pipe line. Maybe they can send out a set fast, in that case great. But if they get to you late they won't do you much good. Something to consider as you call around.
