Skid question

Anyone use or here anything about www.asfir4x4.com. They are distributed in the U.S. through www.autotechusa.com. I saw these on wranglerforum.

I wouldn't install this skid on my Jeep. Additionally, I would rather support a US company.

Ummmm Chrome plated...

That skid looks just as deep as the factory piece, just not as strong.

It's smooth and shiny. I bet it reduces aerodynamic drag on the underside of the Jeep.

AND a piece of chrome that big has got to be good for what, 15hp? Maybe more.

Not interested in the cross-member. Was checking out the oil pan skid.

I dont see any engine skids, just tranny skids. If those tranny skids are in fact the engine skids and the arms go up to the engine mounts, Id stay away. Theyre not triangulated and look like they would bend if hit on an odd angle. Im no engineer but thats what I see. Take a look at UCF's engine skids. Great quality, customer service and reputation. Plus Matt will give you a JF discount.
