May want to add Rokmen to the steering box kid plate:
http://www.rokmen.com/products/tj_lj_bumpers/steering_box_skid/steering_box_skid.html

3/16, Full Box, more coverage than most, Powder Coated and Bare steel, TIG welded, no laser cut logo, will not cause interference with torsion style swaybars.

We will soon have a couple of other items to fill in more of those categories too. When they are released I'll pop back in and let you know.

great, thanks Dave! just added it

it is nice to see vendors being active in this, but it must be easy for you cause I just looked back over the large field and saw that yours looks the nicest and is also a few buck cheeper than most. good going

can you explain two things to a curious mind? where is it 1.5" wider and what are others possibly not protecting by being slimmer there? and what is different that you mention that you work with after-market sway systems, do most not? why?
thanks for letting my pester you, this is now the steering skid on my shopping list. Thanks for not cutting a logo in it, I'll be happy to tell folk who's it is myself, hate the forcing of free advertising most companies do

np,

Here is a good thread with pictures to show what the extra 1.5" of clearance does:
http://www.******************.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=39247&highlight=steering+skid

It's common to see Sway Bars like the anti-rock hit the lower steering box bolt after a steering skid has been installed. Most steering box skids push that bolt out an extra 3/16, where ours does not. Our skid still secures there, it just does it a little differently, and keeps the bolt at it's stock distance from the frame as to not cause any interference.

We keep the steering skids, and our rear frame tie-in's priced inexpensively - as we use them as a type of working business card. If you like the quality of our smaller items, you'll certainly like it on our larger items.

I've been in contact with Clayton and I just wanted to let you know what I've found! It appears that the belly skid is not a "belly up" and requires no modifications. The engine/oil skid, that attaches to their belly skid, only works with a "radius style long arm kit". Hope that helps!

BDN, thanks for the update their site was light on details. So it covers that area but offers no increase in clearance? or is it just that it does it without moving the parts under it? It will still stay in that section because of what it protects, but i would love to have the clearance detail correct before including

is radius, in "radius style long arm kit", a brand or a type?

thanks everyone for catching errors or omissions, there is no way i can follow every part and company

radius arms are like this:

the upper arm mounts to the lower, not the frame

Anyone got a line on a set of good frame mounted rockers? I want to get some, but now that Jeeperman is gone, my choices just went out the window. The other ones listed aren't exactly what I would call rock crawling material, either....
