Teraflex BellyUP. Their web site sucks, too...

This link may work... Teraflex.biz

Copied directly from their site:
Quote:
he BellyUP increases your ground clearance by up to 2-3/8" inches by replacing the factory skid plate with a lower-profile heavy duty skid plate. The BellyUP is manufactured with stronger and heavier materials than the stock plate to provide superior protection to your undercarriage. A one-inch body lift (part# BL1T) is recommended with Rubicon applications for proper transfer case clearance. Some exhaust adjustment may be necessary. Fits all TJ Wrangler models including the Rubicon and Unlimited. A similar skid plate is available for the YJ. (Part # BUY) Note: This kit provides the maximum amount of ground clearance possible, but requires some fine tuning and adjustment to eliminate driveshaft vibration. Engine Spacer: This kit may require the use of a 5/8" engine spacer for proper fan shroud clearance when used with a 1" body lift. (Part #ESK5/8) Short shaft kit: This kit will require the use of the TeraFlex short shaft kit (part #231ESS, or 231SS). Lowering kit: Because the BellyUP can make driveshaft angles severe, a lowering kit (Part #TCKLTY for a one-inch drop or Part #TCLKTY-1/2 for 1/2" drop) will decrease the severity of that angle. This issue is common when the BellyUP is combined with an 4" suspension system. Part# BUT-03

replacement diff covers

I don't have the links handy but for replacement diff covers you should add the Rokmen Riddler and Rockcrusher/Solid covers to the list. They have both been discussed on this forum ad nauseum.

skid row engine skids bend easier than a medic skid....personal knowledge. i prefer medic skid plates because the are a little more stout than most and they take into account engine spacers when mounting...you may experience vibes with the tummy tuck but you can solve that w/ washers or adjustable uppers in the rear....04 rubi ome 2.5, 1"bl, 33"bfg's lots of extras on this jeep mentioned

Most of the engine skids out there are 3/16", Medic makes the only short arm 1/4" skid I know of, Skid row made a pretty shameless 1/4" copy of the Medic for thier long arm skid

I believe that if you read through this entire thread you will notice that it is trying to post FACTS only.

Therefore your personal opinions, and your personal experiences should be in any of the other 3216562123165 threads about skid plates not in this one as asked by the OP.

The "best" skids have a reputation for a reason. Many factors determine what skid someone purchases.

I'm having trouble finding manufacturer links, i would prefer not to give special treatment to any resellers by posting those types of sites, can you look around and help me find links?

Thank you!
you are very right, if you have a strong opinion about a skid good or bad, i really encourage you to write a review in the review section, it is another part of this forum that could use a lot more input!

Opinions on adding Body Armor to thread?

ok I am looking at adding a top level post on body guards, not completely sold on the idea. what do you think?
it would have:
  • Fenders (tube type or anything else that folks pointed out) not including after-market flare that are just made to give tire coverage, that is something different
  • Rocker or sliders (this is the section that could get overloaded)
  • Rear corner guards
Do you think anything else fits in this section?
We would keep it to just what offered armor protection and not just cosmetic upgrades.
I'm still not touching bumpers with a ten foot pole. that is it's own monster.

p.s. i have upgraded the first few posts and included some new things , please check out the first page again

Hey Rivka, I am in the process of designing bolt on tube fenders. I already have templates and numbers for doing rocker guards. I am local to you (work at your local) so let me know if you ever need help. I think I have seen your Jeep rolling around.
