If you want to copy and paste my text into one of your place holding posts, I'll delete mine. This way you can organize it any way you want and it'll be at the top.

thanks for taking the pictures down, it is fine to leave as it is, a good example of being through. I will integrate more of your info into the main list later tonight in another round of edits.
i did notice that altho your engine skid is restricted to certain years and engines , they make a full line that covers all TJ's. important info in this case and to include in a review if you have one in that section.

thanks for your help

I have:

Extreme Metal Products
TJ Steering Box Skid
*3/16 Thick Steel
*Laser Cut & Powder Coated Black
*Self Tapping Bolt Provided
*Protects Steering Box on 97 and newer Jeep TJ Series

I'm also considering by Extreme Metal Products:

1) TJ Gas Tank Skid
*Raises Tank 1"
*3/16 Thick Steel
*Laser Cut & Powder Coated Black
*Uses Factory Hardware
*97-02 Does Not Require Body Lift

2) TJ Belly Skid
*Increases Ground Clearance by 1"
*1/4 Thick Steel
*Laser Cut & Powder Coated

They sell their skids on eBay and go for less than any other skids I've seen. Quality lokos great and compares to Warn skids.

your on the right track,
i was just looking at their site and think some of the stuff id made by them some is just being resold, i'll have to look more later.
thanks i'll add them to the list after i figure that out, unless you want to help out a bit more and get that info for me. I would like to have it so i am manufacturers rather than stores. otherwise we have repeats and confusion

medic link

T-case fits 03 and up TJ's and has mount to relocate locker pump on Rubicon's. 1/4" thick. A 1" MML and BL are required.
has holes in the right places to drain things.

he also has 1/4" thick engine skids for 97 and up TJ's that covers oil-pan, transmission and bell housing. Mounts in front to motor mounts from underneath, and can be fitted to many t-case skids including factory.

also sells lower control arm bracket skids as well.

Surprised you don't have it listed already actually

not really at all. this is search tool about what is out there, i will not be compiling any reviews here, simply the facts. either way i have a good relationship with the moderators and if one of them think it should be moved i'm sure they will chat with me. I did something kinda similar before and it turned into a great resouce

well these aren't really reviews...more like an answer to nearly all skid plate related questions that get asked...
instead of saying "search is your friend," we'll be able to post a link to this thread.

thanks atl, i was about to buy a kilby gas tank skid, you saved me some $$$

2. Fabtech Steering box skid plate: Fabtech's 1/4" thick steel skid plates. Heavy duty one piece welded design bolts directly to your frame in minutes. Available in black powder coat finish only. Also bolts into Fabtech front bumper.

do you have manufacturer links for either of these , i do not want to link to a secondary store, unless they are the sole distributor of the brand. and store link get out dated real fast, they change all the time

2. four X Doctor Gas tank skid. Run 3/16" sides, with 6 cut outs for drainage. You also gain 1" of ground clearance, and about a 1/4" to more from the differential. We have also moved the skid to the passenger side of the jeep for more driver side shock clearance.
