Sitting in the cheap seats...

Check out this deal; $160 for a pair of seats from JC Whittney:

http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/ItemBrowse?storeId=10101&productId=100000432737&ca talogId=10101&langId=-1&appId=100000432737&Pr=p_CATENTRY_ID:1000004327 37

That's just about cheap enough to try these things out! Anyone have any experience with these?

Would the passenger seat tip and slide still with the new seats?

Whoever is buying them please let us know what you think asap! My seats are terrible. I was going to buy seat covers but couldn't justify spending $150 on them. Now $150 on two seats is another story...

I don't see why not. The frame that the seat sits on is the part that folds. As long as the back of the seat moves forward(which it looks like they do), the seats fit the existing frame, and nothing hits each other (seat vs dash), it should work.

Just ordered them! If anyone else does make sure you use the promo code "sendnow" (without quotes) for free shipping..they do charge a $20 surcharge for some type of heavy lifting fee through the shipping company that can no be deducted..either way its still a good deal.

Did they give you an arrival date? I'm interested to see how these work out for you. If they are worth it, I'll definitely be ordering a set.

Think they'll fade much with the top down in the summer?

They should be fine, if your worried go with a lighter color like yellow or red.

i hope they look as good in person. if so it'll solve my delima on which should i get seat covers, junkyard TJ seats, new seats.....

i am assuming it would be too hard to fabricate some way to mount them to the TJ risers.
