Single Rear Bucket

I'm looking to remove the rear seat out of my TJ and put a single bucket back there to help gain some room. Has anybody ever done this? Any info on making safe and legal in CA will be greatly appreciated.

The big things are; use a seat that's not too wide (seatbelt won't work correctly). Make sure the passenger is protected by the roll bar (head inside, not sitting too high). Make sure the seat belt holds them in, and is not being pulled on at odd angles. Make sure the seat is bolted in enough to hold it in place. That will mean going through reinforced areas that are under the tub.

I am about to do the next stage of my cage build. I'm going to suspension seats up front, like the rear seat, and mounting them on the cage frame work. The rear seat is going to the center, with correctly mounted 5 points.

Like this, I copied from Pirate.
