You'll love the 4:88s and the anti-rock

You jeep is beautiful but maybe I'm a little biased

Looking at yours I really wish I had hi-lines.

Seat Risers

So my wife has taken an interest in wheeling and she wants to drive.

Problem is I am over a foot taller than she is. She can't see over the hood or get very comfortable in the Jeep. I wanted her first wheeling experience to be great so I ordered some seat risers from Buchanan Precision Machine. I saw these on Stu Olsens site and gave them a call. Randy the owner was a great guy. He was very helpful and gave me some good advice. Randy definitely has a love for offroading and jeeps. After some questions I decided to order the 1.5" risers.

The risers got to my door very quickly and were complete with great directions and hardware. The risers were like the company name says Precision Machined out of aluminum. I must say once I got used to sitting higher, I love them. I can use the sun visor now and my jeep feels much more comfortable. I highly recommend these to any jeeper. I know 1.5" doesn't sound like a big difference but believe me it is. I believe Randy guarantees that you will like them. I did. Thanks Randy!

Now for some pics. "The side view shows the driverside with the risers installed vs the passenger at factory height."

Winch

Despite my effort to save for new gears, I came across a incredible deal on a HS9500i Warn Winch, New winch plate and fairlead. I couldn't resist and ended up dipping into my gear fund. I hope to go with synthetic line eventually but not till it's no longer a DD.

This thing is heavy and I can feel a difference with that weight in the front. I hope it's not blocking to much air flow to the radiator in the hot Texas summer. I'll find out soon enough.

Now for some pics:

JJeeper9: It doesn't seem to be sagging at all. Maybe over time it will. I have a pretty heavy LOD bumper / tire carrier and a 35" tire on the rear so the front of my Jeep sat a little higher. Now it seems to be even.

Cline ranch

So I went out to Cline Ranch to with my local club last weekend. It was rainy so the trails were slick. I thought i was going to go over a few times. I attempted a trail that I have always had to be winched out of called Yellow Jacket. I was able to do the trail without winching but did need some help from some rock stacking. Anyway, I was happy i did it. It's a milestone for me.

It also left me with a permanent souvenir on the side of my jeep.

This last weekend I attended the Texas Spur Jeep Jamboree. I had an amazing time. My jeep performed great and I went for the hardest lines. If you have never been, you should really consider this trip.

I finally decided that a HP 44 and 37s would do everything I want so now I know what to build.

I purchased a HP44 out of an old 70's ford truck. It was a special edition so it doesn't have the steel wedges on the axle to cut off.

Thanks for the compliments!!!

I haven't actually measured the space between the tub and tranny. I do know there isn't much room. I put my hand up there one time and was able to put my fingers between them but I don't have sausage fingers. I do think the lopro mount is necessary to put the flat skid on.

yeah i think so to, i am going to do the ucf 2" deep skid with the lopro mount, i would do the one that you have, but i dont really want ot do a body lift

Seems to me if your going to spend the money and go through all the trouble you should go with the ultra high clearance skid. YES, its more of a pain to put on but I am SO glad I did it. It made a huge difference in what obstacles I can do. No more high centering for me. I just roll through obstacles I used to get hung on. No more annoying scraping either.

Half way through the install I even tried to sell it and get the lower skid. I didn't want to do all the necessary changs to get it to work. I'm SO glad I didn't!!!!

Just my 2cents.
