silla aluminum radiators

anyone running one? I have a leak and possibly need radiator. found these which are all aluminum, including the tanks. trying to find reviews, but haven't run across any yet. have one from radiator barn now, fit and everything fine, just checking on other options.

I am running a Novak 2 core aluminum. I like it. It started to leak though so I need to send it back in.

That looks just like it will fit. Can't believe the price. I paid just over 200$ for 3-row all metal from Radiator Barn, so this is a good deal as most all aluminum radiators run 500$ range.

Sounds too good to be true, but if it fits perfect and cools good let me know because I might just buy one.

What year is your Jeep?

99 tj with 4.6 stroker. I've had no cooling issues with radiator barn and flowcooler wp, now just a leak near the seam at drivers top corner. I agree, it sounds too good to be true for the price, still trying to find someone else that was the guinea pig.

They offer a full money back gaurantee including your shipping costs so why not give it a try. Look at the feedback rating...not a single complaint that I can see.

I looked in his feedback and sent a message to one of the guys that had bought one for a TJ.
Here is what he said: "well so far it is working great and doing its job in the past i have spent money on higher end radiators ect. northern,be cool griffin, howe but for the money and the price these are hard to beat they work great and easier to repair when you hit something that doesnt move like trees and rocks..aluminum radiators always have given me a 12 to 30 degree tempature change,,so if you need the extra cooling ability,,then this should work fine for you...but make sure you use distilled water,,i prefer a 70%antifreeze to 30% water for that added edge of cooling to cover the high heat level better...."

Mine will be here on Wed...let you know how it turns out.

Received the radiator today...looks good (better if your ten feet away)! The welding looks to be done by children in China...the kid that welded mine must have been blind one eye too! As long it cools without leaks...it is a jeep not a show piece.

Let us know how it cools... and how much cooler it runs.

Once I got the old radiator out I flushed the engine and heater core to large rubbermaid containers (18 gal)...needless to say I emptied 6 full containers of rusty colored water. This tells me that the way of flushing the engine before (through the petcock) is not doing enough (not enough flow) but the stock radiator was very rusty too so maybe that is the reason there was so much rust in the engine.
After the install, I let it idle for some time with the heat on to ensure no air pockets...all seemed fine and it idled just around 200. Shortly after a 10 minute drive the temp reached the normal 210.

The fit was good...no problems at all with bolt lineup. The shroud bolts were tight going in...not sure if they were tapped for a different bolt or what but after the radiator heated up I torqued them again. Take care with the fins...I think I could blow on them and they would smush

So all in all the job cost me about the same as the stock DC radiator ($240) b/c I replaced all the hoses and thermostat and I'm sure I have a longer lasting radiator.

Update: after driving it around all day the temp held a constant 200 or so (about a needle width to the left of 210). Must have hit an air pocket or something last night b/c it never got to 210 today.

I put in the Silla all aluminum radiator from fastradiator.com along with a new hose's, thermostat, and serp-belt. After the first few days I noticed burnt antifreeze with that annoying stench. I ended up having a defective cap and reservoir hose, I know I cannot believe it. After replacing the aforementioned parts the Jeep has yet to reach the halfway dot, but the real test will be on the next extremely humid day while I idle in NYC during rush hour traffic on the way home.
